Pentagon (con'ted)

I forgot to write about the outside memorial in the last post....
So as you can see in the above picture, there are metal benches facing in 2 different directions. One direction represents those who died in the Pentagon and the other are those who died in the plane. Engraved on these benches are the names of the perished. Under each bench is a reflecting pool (water), which you see in the above picture Robert explaining to Marshall not to throw anything into :}! You can also see in the pictures from the last post, the section of the building that was rebuilt in record timing - can't remember exactly how quickly, but it was impressive!
And finally, the picture below shows the Pentagon from the Old Post Office Tower - you can also see the Cherry Blossoms ~ WOW!!

How awesome that you vacationed in DC! Looks like fun! Scott, Anna and I are thinking about going up there in August for vacation. You will have to give me all the tips of where to go? Maybe we will see you at the graduation breakfast? Holly and Lauren kept encouraging us to come. Lauren wrote me a letter this past week that had me in tears. As much as we love Vero, there are some very special people in Sebring we miss, which very much includes your family!!! See you in a couple of weeks :) :) :)
